Alliances Airlines is reshoring their aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul to Queensland and ARK were engaged to manage the finalisation of the detailed design, procurement of the Civil Contractor (AS2124), Hangar Contractor (AS4902), and Contract Administrator. Currently responsible for the delivery phase of this project, ARK reports directly to the Alliance Airlines Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer and administers the Development Agreement with Rockhampton Regional Council.

Engaged by the Department of Transport and Main Roads as the Contract Administrator for three separate Transport Infrastructure Contracts, ARK manages and guides three independent Contract Administration and Verification Services Teams to deliver a combined package of works totalling $30m. ARK’s role with the Department has also expanded to provide independent assessment of Unusually Low Bid submissions across several tender processes, and includes Project Management responsibilities assisting the Fitzroy District Delivery & Operations Team.

ARK provided project management and engineering services to Schwarz Excavations, who are one of the pioneering leaders in specialised rail maintenance and asset renewals. ARK resources were involved in tendering, procurement, contract administration, project planning, onsite construction management and quality assurance. ARK reconstructed the company’s suite of project management tools and resources, helping to reinforce Schwarz Excavations’ reputation as a supplier of choice for both Aurizon and Queensland Rail.

ARK personnel provided surveillance and engineering input into the contract administration of the Rockhampton Northern Access Upgrade for the Department of Transport and Main Roads. With a focus on bridges and concrete structures, ARK collaborated with the project designers to resolve design issues, worked with the contractor to enhance constructability and quality of the built asset, and provided the Department with certainty of cost, time and quality control.

ARK personnel provided surveillance and engineering input into the contract administration of the Dawson Highway Timber Bridge replacement project for the Department of Transport and Main Roads. With a focus on bridges and prestressed concrete manufacture, ARK worked with the contractor to develop and implement quality control processes to successfully deliver the replacement of five timber bridges in a rural and remote environment.

While working at the Department of Transport and Main Roads, ARK personnel were instrumental in delivering the Yeppen South Project, which includes the longest bridge on the Bruce Highway. Initially tendering the Road Construction Contract and Early Tenderer Involvement process, ARK resources were then engaged for onsite surveillance of the bridge construction, and ultimately tasked with managing the project through the final stages of implementation and finalisation.
